Venue fact sheet · Tsim Sha Tsui
Hong Kong Cultural Centre
The Hong Kong Cultural Centre is the concert and theatre complex on the Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront in Hong Kong, home to a Concert Hall, a Grand Theatre and a Studio Theatre; this one sheet covers the whole Centre, and events in any of its halls link here. The facts come from the sources that actually publish them: the Centre's own visitor, location and barrier free pages, and URBTIX, the LCSD ticketing platform for its halls.
- Nearest station
- MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, exits L6 and J3, and Tsim Sha Tsui Station, exit E. The Centre is at 10 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, on the harbourfront; the venue's location page also lists the Star Ferry and bus stops.
- Doors and entry
- No doors opening time is published. The Centre asks visitors to arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before the performance starts. Latecomers are admitted only at a suitable break or the interval, and anyone who leaves during the programme is readmitted only at a suitable break, at venue management's discretion.
- Bags
- No maximum bag size or weight is published. The Centre tells visitors they can store large items at the foyer cloakroom, with no size limit stated; storing large items there is the venue's own advice for a more comfortable visit.
- Cloakroom and lockers
- Yes. A cloakroom is located at the foyer of the Centre, and visitors are encouraged to store large items there.
- Tickets and ID
- Ticketing for the Centre's halls runs through URBTIX, the LCSD platform, so these are platform terms, not venue rules. Bookings are collected as printed tickets from URBTIX kiosks or outlet counters, or sent by post. Where an organiser adopts e-tickets, the e-ticket image in the confirmation email or the QR code in the URBTIX app is scanned at admission. There is no general name match for standard tickets: concessionary ticket holders are admitted only on production of acceptable proof of eligibility, the purchaser may be required to produce proof of identity at the counter, and proof of age may be demanded for age restricted events.
- Not allowed
- Partly published. Inside the auditorium there is no eating or drinking in the seating area, and sound and light emitting devices and mobile phones must be switched off before the performance. No fuller prohibited items list is published by the Centre.
- Children
- The age limit for an event is set per event and printed on each ticket, and URBTIX terms are one person per ticket regardless of age (platform terms). The standing LCSD concert norm, from LCSD's own Music Office FAQ, is that normally children aged six or under will not be admitted to its concerts; presenters may set their own limits for other events.
- Accessibility
- Automatic doors serve wheelchair users at the foyer of the Auditoria Building and the Administration Building, and the Box Office is accessible by ramps with handrails, with service counters at a height suitable for wheelchair users. Stair lifts give wheelchair access to the Piazza viewing deck. Tactile guide paths, braille and tactile maps and braille evacuation plans are provided. Seats designated for wheelchair users are provided in the performance venues, the Concert Hall, Grand Theatre and Studio Theatre, and an induction loop system serves hearing impaired visitors in the Concert Hall, Grand Theatre and Studio Theatre. Accessible toilets are at the foyer, the three performance venues and the backstage of the Concert Hall and Grand Theatre, and at Podium level of the Administration Building. The Centre's Access Officer can be contacted on 2734 2833; enquiries 2734 2009.
- Prayer and halal food
- Neither is published. No prayer room is listed on the Centre's official pages, and no restaurant or cafe at the Centre is labelled halal by the Centre or by LCSD.
- Last trains home
- The Centre publishes no last train guidance, and refers visitors to the transport operators and HKeMobility for route information. MTR publishes last train times for Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui stations only through its own service hours tool, so no time is printed here; see the gaps note below.
Luggage storage near the venue
Bounce lists a storage point by the Tsim Sha Tsui harbourfront promenade, the promenade the Centre itself fronts, from HK$35 per bag per day. The exact address is given when you book.

What is not published
Checked and not published, as of 3 November 2026: a maximum bag size (no dimension is published; the venue advises storing large items at the cloakroom); a prayer room; halal food; a stroller rule; and last train times, which MTR publishes only through its own service hours tool. We asked the Hong Kong Cultural Centre about bag size, a prayer room, halal food and strollers directly on 3 November 2026; any reply will be added here, dated. We show the gaps rather than fill them from third party guides.
