The Chinese Temples Committee and the Hong Kong Tourism Board state the Hung Shing Festival falls on the 13th day of the second lunar month, that it is one of the major annual events in Ap Lei Chau, and that a parade and Cantonese opera are arranged for the celebration. The lunar date converts to 20 March 2027, and this record covers the main day only. HKTB listed a wider multi week programme around the day for the 2026 edition, but no 2027 programme dates were published on a page opened in this pass, so the date is expected, not confirmed.
